My Belief as a Christian
I am personally a Christian. I go to both Catholic and non-denominational churches (protestant churches). I think there is some confusian regarding the apostles creed as in the Catholic church the Apostles Creed says "We believe in one Holy Catholic (Apostolic) church" and in non-catholic churches that say the apostles creed they say "We believe in Your Holy Church" Which one is the original? My history is not all that good, however I know that Jesus Christ appointed the Apostle Peter to start the Church, and the Romans didn't start the Holy Roman Catholic church for quite some time after most/all of the Apostles had died, so did the Apostles really say "Catholic" church in the original creed, when was the creed actually made? It is called the Apostles creed so I assumed it dates back to the 1st century AD. Could somebody get back to me on that if you know the answer, just use the contact link on the homepage.
As Christians I think we must not go too astray from the teachings in the old testament, when Jesus said along the lines: "it's not what goes into the body that defiles it it what comes out of the heart that does" Does He really want us to ignore all the rules about what animals are clean to eat? I personally don't really like eating pig meat (an unclean animal stated in the Old Testament) and when you think of how piggeries feed pigs these days, often using what lies on the ground in pigs sties and recycling it mixed with grain for food etc. it's not something I like to eat too often. However if someone offers me pizza with ham & salami I don't usually turn them down.
As it is said in the Bible, our God, is the "God of Israel" and the Jewish people from Jerusalem (in Israel) are almost all Jewish, a few Jewish Christians, Muslims, and other religions, however looking at the prophecies being fulfilled in Israel, I don't think God sees anything wrong with people obeying all the laws of the old testament, like a devout Jew. I think God delights in an obedient person. Jesus Christ didn't come to take away from the laws. Us Christians need to think more about our relationship with Israel.
Look at the following video (1st part of a 6 part series) about Bible prophecies being fulfilled in Israel:Christian Assemblies in Sydney

I think God has made His presence felt in many different churches so it is a mystery to me as to whether God prefers a certain church, I think as long as we practice those things such as the breaking of the bread and drinking of the wine in remembrance of Jesus that the church is fine. God may have His favourite church, however as long as we can hear the Word of God in a church from the Bible, I think a church is doing it's work.
There are many things a church of God is called to do, for example, evangelise the non-believers, practice Mercy towards others, praise God, preach the Word of God, etc.
May we hear God's Holy Spirit calling us to our own place in the Body of God.
